A New Source Of Market Intelligence To Power Your Business
What you are seeing is the exciting birth of Office & Contract International (OCi), the result of many months of excitement along with much labour and hardwork. OCi offers an answer to the growing sophistication of the international contract market and the lack of a business-to-business magazine exclusively devoted to commercial interior design and solutions. Available simultaneously in print, web and eBook formats, OCi seeks to bring the latest and hottest news, trends, products and other resources to the contract markets worldwide. Target readership consists of commercial interior designers, architects, facility managers, project managers, wholesalers, distributors, retailers of commercial interior products and others related to the trade.
Editorially, OCi will cover the corporate, hospitality, institutional, education and retail sectors. Having evolved from being a regular supplement of Furniture & Furnishing Export International (FFE), a leading international trade publication on home furniture, OCi will have a strong emphasis on the corporate/office segment.
Amongst a host of informative articles and new product introductions, this inaugural issue features a keynote from Michael Braungart, principal and co-founder of MBDC, at IIDEX/NeoCon Canada last September (pg 10-12). Dr. Braungart elaborates on striking ideas featured in Cradle-To-Cradle: Remaking The Way We Make Things, a book he co-authored with William MacDonough. According to Dr. Braungart, the key is to rethink products and processes, and through eco-intelligent design benefit the environment.
Also included in this issue are interviews with Lew Fatt Sin, group managing director of Euro Holdings Bhd (pg 14-15), and Yong Fook Seng, founder and managing director of Bristol Technologies Sdn Bhd (pg 22-23), two leading Malaysian office furniture suppliers to the very competitive international markets. Euro won last year’s Furniture Leadership Awards (Malaysia) and Lew received the top honour as Entrepreneur of the Year. Not surprisingly, both gentlemen are firm believers in innovation and invest heavily in R&D to stay ahead.
OCi can be a valuable source of market intelligence to help you gain an edge. To enable the magazine to better serve you, your feedback is necessary. Do share generously your comments and ideas. I look forward to hearing from you and am sure you will enjoy the issue.

OCi is gaining weight -
But we’re not complaining.
What I mean is: This particular issue of Office & Contract International (OCi) is a heavyweight in terms of content.
This title was launched last year as an answer to the growing sophistication of the international contract market and the lack of a business-to-business...
